On August 28, 2025, the executive director participated as a Human Rights Expert in a workshop organized by International IDEA for the Sudanese civil society, held at the Fairway Hotel in Uganda. During the opening ceremony, he delivered a speech expressing solidarity with the Sudanese people, recognizing their resilience and ongoing struggles. He then presented an overview of the international and regional human rights mechanisms available to civil society organizations, highlighting the roles of the United Nations and African Union systems. The workshop also included contributions from UN and AU experts, fostering productive discussions to strengthen human rights advocacy for the Sudanese civil society and promoting greater cooperation and dialogue on protecting human rights in Sudan.
