Regional Dissemination and Advocacy Workshop on the African Union Convention on the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls

Following an invitation received from Lawyers without borders Canada, the executive director participated in a workshop as a Regional Expert on the adoption of The African Union Convention on The elimination of Violence against Women and Girls.

This conference brings the participation of Steakholders including the chairperson of The African commission on Human and people's rights, the Special Rapporteur on The Right of Women and Ambassador from West Africa and networks and civil society. The discussion is on the strategic plan to Operationalise and ratify this important convention.
