The Expert Mechanism on the Right to Development (EMRTD)

The Executive Director of CIDH delivered a statement on behalf of GARtD during the session of the Expert Mechanism on the Right to Development (EMRTD).

The statement focused on the necessity of operationalizing the right to development in Africa, as well as the urgent need for national legislation to ensure its effective implementation.

GARtD (Group of Advocates for the Right to Development) is a joint initiative of the University for Peace (UPEACE) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
