This publication is funded by the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law. The goal of the partnership is to strengthen the promotion and protection of the rights of association and assembly in North Africa by increasing the engagement of civil society organizations (CSOs) with the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (ACHPR) and its legal mechanisms and policies/policy instruments.
The main objective of the project is to improve the knowledge and capacity of North African CSOs to engage with the ACHPR and its special mechanisms, in particular through the use of the ACHPR Guidelines on Freedom of Association and Assembly in Africa (the ACHPR Guidelines), and to strengthen the work on FoAA at the national and regional levels.
